HAM.

Because sometimes, you just have to make something really goofy.

I'm off to Burning Man tomorrow. If you see this chalkboard around, it's my camp.

the laramie project

I never actually took any pictures of The Laramie Project, which I designed in February at Whittier College. I found a picture of it on FaceBook, though.

It's designed with stock seating platforms and legs - I wanted a disjointed sterility to it all. We had planned on adding more "human" elements to it with chairs and lighting and other such props, but it didn't end up happening. There were bare lightbulbs above the stage- "the lights of Laramie." It was all very simple, but I think it worked well.

romeo and juliet

Twelve hours at the theatre today and I am so sore. Still, this show got changed over from Shrew in a week and a half, and that is pretty awesome. My tech director kicks ass(I'm not just saying that because he may eventually read this).

setting up. if you look closely, you can almost hear stage technicians cursing my name.

preset.

This picture makes my set look like Shrew.

this is the first romeo I've ever seen look awesome with his shirt off.

I keel you.

Dead people.

my apartment and taming of the shrew

This was the wall I fell in love with.

All that stuff is built in. Cute.

Yes, the kitchen has pink accents.

Did you really think I was kidding when I said "my bathroom is ugly"?

Okay, this is the last time I post stuff from Shrew - but the set's actually completed here!

I'm really fond of that underwear.

Yay, stagehands.

The joint compound does look like zombie claw marks.

Because lighting designers make things purple and pretty.
